I am a real estate developer from Kolkata and recently bought a Honda Civic to replace my aging Honda City. Although the Honda Civic is an excellent car it is frankly not a car for India I feel where the roads are pothole encrusted and not maintained properly. The car has a very low ground clearance and therefore the silencer pipe takes a toll when driven over our lesser developed roads. Apart from these factors, I am quite happy with my Honda Civic. The 1799cc petrol engine has an above average horsepower of 132 and delivers about 10kmpl in the city and 13.5kmpl in highways which I think is decent. And when looks is concerned, it is needless to say that the car is a masterpiece. Its swooping and aerodynamic body renders the car with a rather agile and futuristic look. The headlamps look something straight out of Star Trek, no wonder that the Civics design has been highly acclaimed all over the world. As safety is very important for me and my family I have opted for the 1.8S that comes with ABS, airbags and child safety locks. My family comprises of my wife and my two boys and on the weekends we drive out of the city, the Civic is a solid performer on the highway and high speeds can be attained and maintained owning to the cars sheer power, torque and stability. ...
